I have been day dreaming about the future and better days. I am a type A person and I will always desire the best for myself. I refuse to settle for anything less. I know I will accomplish all of my dreams, goals, and aspirations in due time. I have made great strides, yet I am struggling with impatience. I have to constantly remind myself that everything is happening exactly as it is supposed to.
When we are impatient it is because we are focusing on something in the future that we want, that we think will make us happy. We want it now because we want to be happy now. I dreamed of traveling the world, meeting new people, and change, but I realized by dreaming of the future I was becoming unhappy in the present moment.
There’s a dilemma with that thinking. That’s stinking thinking as my therapist says. Ha-ha. The law of attraction says we attract what we are. In order to attract happiness, we have to be happy. So, if we are impatient because we think that something in the future will make us happier than we are right now, our current state is unhappiness.
In that moment of unhappiness and desiring the future, pull yourself back in to the present moment. Look around you and see the beauty in life! Turn your attitude into gratitude. Gratitude is a powerful process for shifting your energy and bringing more of what you want into your life. Be grateful for what you already have and you will attract more good things.
After speaking with a good friend, I realized I have a lot to be grateful for! I truly am blessed. I am grateful for how far I’ve come. I am proud of my damn self! I own a business that I am passionate about. I make an income doing what I LOVE. I get to work with great clients who trust me enough to share their own personal stories. They are courageous, divine, and limitless beings. Their stories inspire and motivate me!
With Thanksgiving coming up I challenge you to think about gratitude. What are you thankful for? Maybe it’s our beautiful planet earth, another day of life, good health, a roof over your head, your car, a full stomach, your last meal, clean drinking water, the clothes on your back, your job, your family, your friends, internet access, or your education/schooling. I have found that making a gratitude list helps me. Wishing this Thanksgiving finds you with plenty of reasons to give thanks! HAPPY THANKSGIVING LOVES!
