INTENTION IS EVERYTHING
Recently I’ve experienced a constant desire to reach out to an old friend. I will not act out on this feeling right now and here is why.
I love this friend with all my heart. Unfortunately, the relationship wasn’t healthy so for now we have decided to go our separate ways. I have been doing my own thing for about 8 months, but suddenly I have this inner feeling of wanting to reconnect. After my own inner reflecting, I realized I want to connect to this person because I miss them and due to my own inner insecurities. This friend empowered me and gave me words of encouragement to always carry on.
Intention is everything. According to the law of attraction our intentions behind our decisions manifest, meaning we will attract more of our intention. That is why it is so important that our intention always comes from a place of unconditional love.
Here are a few examples I have gathered based on good, loving, positive intentions or lack/fear based negative intentions.
Are you reaching out to an old friend/ex because you miss them and you’re lonely or because you have something you want to share with them that you think they would enjoy? Coming from a place of missing someone or loneliness is a place of lack. It’s implying that you need someone else to be happy. Happiness comes from within not from another person! You are whole all by yourself.
Are you assisting another person because you care for them or do their issues make you feel better about yourself? Are you donating/volunteering based on being an empathetic compassionate person or is it based on your ego’s need for recognition? Are you traveling with someone because you enjoy this person’s company or are you afraid to travel alone? Are you choosing a career based on passion or monetary gain?
Always ask yourself what are your intentions behind your decision. A great way to know for sure is by asking yourself if you will still be happy despite the outcome. What if you don’t get the outcome you expected? Remember when you follow your heart, your passions you will attract more love.
