Come or be dragged.

This week my spirit guides and guardian angels are dragging me by the feet, pulling me as I go kicking and screaming.

Sunday evening I had a deep lucid dream. In this dream I travel to Maine with a friend and she gives me a tour of this beautiful woodsy cottage. In the dream my friend casually opens a window. A light relaxing breeze hits me with delight, but in the blink of an eye I see a giant black wolf growling at the window. I run over and slam that window shut…FAST! Boom. BYE WOLF BYE. Sayonara, sucker!

I awoke from this dream shaken and gasping for air. I started to reflect on the symbolism of a black wolf.  A black wolf represents a person’s shadow side. There may be characteristics of the wolf that the person is refusing to acknowledge or accept as a part of themselves. To dream about fearing a black wolf can mean that a person is in deep denial or suppressing something.

The days that followed brought a dark emotional abyss that nearly swallowed me whole. I was faced with repressed emotions and memories, unacceptable aggression and sexual desires, outdated belief systems, and old phobias. The emotions were bubbling to the surface and boiling over. The skeletons were breaking out of my damn closet.

I have learned after many trials and tribulations that THE ONLY WAY OUT IS THROUGH. So I got down on my hands and knees and crawled through this overgrown muddy path with bushes and thorns at each side, but I’d be lying if I said I went willingly… My ass was dragged.

Everything we go through in life is a lesson to be learned. This includes the good, the bad, and the ugly. A friend or spouse may abandon you, but you learn how to stand on your own feet. A loved one may have passed too soon, but you have learned to see the signs and reconnect with your FAITH. Stronger than ever! Maybe you have road rage and then you get in a car accident, and now you’ve learned patience.

The thing is, if we don’t learn the lesson we keep repeating the pattern until eventually you go willingly or you’re forced to go.

When we go through something uncomfortable or even traumatic our human brain naturally wants to forget, but when we suppress an emotion we are actually storing that emotion in our human body. Stored emotions lead to dis-ease. Emotions that are processed and released lead to healing.

On Sunday 4-29-18 the full moon enters Scorpio plunging us into greater awareness around our emotional lives, relationships, and unconscious drives. “We are examining our shadow side as we continue the work of dismantling unconscious triggers, and traumas while finding the courage to look them in the eyes. The Scorpio full moon encourages you to surrender and let go of any burdens you’ve been carrying. The only way to achieve this is to be brutally honest with both yourself and others. Our transformation depends on our ability to sit with and accept the feelings that arrive with the truth.”

It’s important to look at what is causing you pain and mental anguish because that can show you what part of you still needs healing. Our external world is a reflection of out internal mindset. I challenge you this week to face your fears and sit in the uncomfortableness withholding judgement. Tap into those suppressed feelings without categorizing certain emotions as positive or negative. This week illuminate your shadows and dive deep into the depths of your soul!
